Analysis of the Impact of a Comprehensive Coaching Model on the Improvement of Character-Based Early Childhood Education Quality: A Study in the Operational Areas of Adaro and AlamTri Group

Abstract

This study examines the effect of a comprehensive coaching model on improving the quality of character-based Early Childhood Education (ECE) in the operational areas of Adaro and AlamTri Group through the implementation of the Character-Based Holistic Education (CBHE) curriculum by Yayasan Amanah Bangun Negeri (YABN) in collaboration with Indonesia Heritage Foundation (IHF). The study employed a longitudinal quasi-experimental approach, with data collected through observations, interviews, mentoring and monitoring records, and document analysis of program reports. The findings indicate that teacher training, intensive mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation significantly contributed to the improvement of character-based learning quality. The implementation of the CBHE curriculum promoted: (1) more child-centered learning practices, (2) enhanced teacher competencies, (3) a stronger positive school culture, and (4) increased parental involvement in the educational process. This study concludes that character education delivered through the CBHE curriculum in a holistic and sustainable manner can effectively improve the quality of early childhood education.
